Winter in Tiers with many facets

In Tiers at the Rosengarten in South Tyrol, guests can look forward to a perfect winter sports offer in the nearby Carezza ski resort at Karerpass, and at the same time enjoy the quietness of an idyllic mountain village. Perfectly groomed slopes and tracks await skiers, snowboarders and cross-country skiers amidst the UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, and a snowed-in winter landscape awaits hikers, snow-shoe hikers and tobogganists.

In winter, Tiers provides a special destination for snow-shoe and winter hikers. The nearby Karerpass and Seiser Alm ski resorts, which can easily be reached by bus, guarantee for a great skiing adventure.

The imposing Vajolet Towers of the Rosengarten provide the fantastic backdrop in this unspoiled and wintry picture book landscape.

Tierser Cabrio Cable Car - A Unique Ascent into the Dolomites

Since 2022, a new 3.8 km long cable car with 60 seats has connected the Tiers Valley to the Rosengarten. From San Cipriano, in just 7 minutes, you can reach the Frommer Alm in the Carezza Dolomites ski area and the hiking area of the Rosengarten.

The elevation gain is 644 meters. A special highlight is the rooftop terrace on the gondola, which can accommodate 10 people and makes the ride an unforgettable experience. It is Italy's first cable car of this kind. From the Frommer Alm, the King Laurin cable car takes you to the underground mountain station at the Rifugio Coronelle, into the realm of King Laurin.

Under the motto "less is more – nothing is better," the valley and mountain stations have been gently integrated into the stunning landscape beneath the Rosengarten. The stations are hidden underground in the meadows, with only the entrances and exits remaining visible.

The opening of the Tschein chairlift also in summer introduces a new tour at the foot of the Rosengarten: from Tiers, you can reach Lake Carezza without a car, using the cable cars and a short walk. The connections to the hiking trails have also been improved with the new cable car links.
